STEM Sterling Engine - Flame powered, Air Pressure/expansion study

Observe how heat creates air pressures, and valve ports release those pressures to allow cool air back into the bulb, and horizontal motion turns into rotary motion etc.  Small generator attached that powers a small LED light when the engine is running.   Neat hands-on engine that runs and converts heat to electricity.

PARENTAL GUIDANCE:  Fire hazard/Burn warning - This product requires a clean-burning alcohol fueled (rubbing alcohol) candle flame to create heat to operate.  From our testing, run it on a wet towel for grip so it doesn't vibrate away.  Once the glass bulb is hot, it will keep running for a while even if the flame is blown out due to the glass holding enough heat to expand the fresh air for a minute or so.  Do not touch the bulb.  You must manually spin the flywheel to get the motor started once the flame has some time to heat the bulb.
